Matthew has a passion for learning about and documenting the people and cultures of the destinations he visits. He believes in putting the experience of meeting and interacting with people first. The opportunities to capture photographs of genuine moments and intimate portraits of real people will follow.
Matthew has been awarded and a finalist in Travel Photographer of the Year on five occasions. This portfolio of documentary travel photography and travel portraits has been produced while on commissions, photographing personal projects (such as his exhibition 'Photographic Tales from Latin America') and leading travel photography holidays. Matthew’s images are regularly used by the likes of Nikon, Visit Britain, National Geographic Traveler, Lonely Planet and many other tourist boards, travel companies, travel guides and international publications.
