There is nothing better than seeing photos used in print. And when that print is a full article on Sri Lanka in National Geographic Traveller Magazine, it is even more exciting!
After sending over a collection of possible images, it is always fascinating to see which photos clients chose. So often it is completely different to the ones that I would pick; likely because they don’t have the same emotional connection from being there when the images were created. While in Sri Lanka, I climbed the c5,500 steps up Adam’s Peak for sunrise. Having suffered a 2am start and serious jelly-legs at the end of the 8 hour round trip, these photos naturally became some of these photos. Spoiler alert; these photos didn’t make the article. One that I took at the bottom by the lake, which required very little effort did though!
I would love to let you know what the article actually says, but unfortunately I don’t speak Polish! So I hope you enjoy the photos! If this whets your appetite for more, why not check out the gallery with my favourite photos of Sri Lanka.
