Solo Exhibition in London: Photographic Tales from Latin America

Unfortunately ‘Photographic Tales from Latin America’ had come to an end. It was a great success… mostly down to lots of you coming along, spreading the word and leaving lots of fantastic comments! So a big, heartfelt thank you to everyone for your support!

How did the exhibition come about?

This exhibition was photographed over a five month period from September 2014 to February 2015. While some of the subjects were chance encounters, most were planned far in advance. The exhibition is entirely self-funded, and curated by myself with a view to not just opening people’s eyes to the fascinating culture of Latin America, but also to travel in general. My favourite images from each country can be seen in the highlights galleries from Ecuador, Peru, Bolivia, Chile, Argentina.

What is the exhibition about?

Experience Latin America through a series of short photo essays from Ecuador, Peru, Bolivia, Chile and Argentina. Featuring documentary, landscape and portrait photography, the exhibition offers encounters with Argentinian Gauchos, displays the power of impressive Patagonian landscapes, takes you to the glacier covered 5,897m summit of Cotopaxi Volcano and introduces you to many more places and people…

Will you be exhibiting these photos again?

While I have no plans right now to show the full exhibition again, some of the photos are appearing at Latin America events and restaurants around London. If you know of anywhere that might be of interest, please do let me know!

Are you returning to Latin America?

Definitely! I am in the process of organising a photography holiday to Peru. I also plan to extend this trip so that I can hike more of Patagonia’s stunning trails, climb another Ecuadorian volcano and possibly head further north towards Colombia. I am also hoping to photograph the wine-making process, from vine to bottle…but this is just a work in progress at the moment, so watch this space!
