Scouting out Mara North Conservancy for the best place to capture the sun as it first breaks above the horizon, I returned to Elicharro Plains on numerous occasions hoping to find a subject wandering the plains. On this morning I got lucky. Arriving while it was still dark, I waited with the Topi until the sun rose directly behind it.
I view each subject as an individual, with their own personal story and character. By sharing these stories, I hope to connect people to these individuals, and in turn promote a desire to protect and care for wildlife. It is therefore incredibly important to me to support conservation efforts. By purchasing a limited edition print, you are making a genuine difference, with 10% of proceeds going to the Kenya Wildlife Trust's Mara Predator Conservation Programme, Mara Elephant Project, and Conservation Guardians.
All photos are limited to just 50 prints in total, with 10 at each of the largest two sizes, 25 spread across the smaller sizes, and 5 'Artist Editions' which can be printed at any size above the largest size. Each artwork also comes numbered, with a signature, and with a certificate of authenticity ensuring you receive a genuinely unique piece of artwork.
All limited edition fine art prints are produced on Hahnemuhle Photo Rag 308gsm, a heavy-duty 100% cotton rag paper. I have chosen this paper for its beautiful, but subtle texture and matte finish, which has the highest industry standards for colour reproduction and sharpness. This ensures the optimum detail, contrast and colour depth.
All print sizes refer to the paper size, which includes numbering, signature and a c1.5cm white border. If you are purchasing an unframed print, this allows space for framing as seen in the photo below. As such the actual image size is a few centimeters smaller than the paper size. When purchasing framed prints, there is a c1.5cm white border between the print and mount.
As standard, framing comes with a choice of black or white wooden frames, made with sustainably sourced wood from FSC approved forests and are delivered ready to hang on your wall. All mounting and framing uses acid-free, archival materials, which maximises the life of the artwork. The extra thick 2.4mm mount board adds a deeper feel to the finished artwork. I am aware that framing can be a very personal decision depending on where the final artwork will hang, so please do get in touch first if you would like to discuss options.
